What do the top universities in the United States have to offer students in 2017?
The University of Chicago, for instance, ranked No. 1 in the 2016 U.S. News and World Report survey on the nation’s best universities.
The ranking includes a list of schools in the U.s. that offer “a holistic and comprehensive education that encompasses the entire spectrum of student life,” according to the school’s website.
And a recent study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers found that the average college student spends $1,966 per year at schools that offer a degree.
In the top 50, the average tuition is $4,074 per year.
And that doesn’t even include the cost of books, transportation, or living expenses.
It’s not surprising that students at schools ranked in the top 25 of U. S. News’ rankings would also enjoy the perks of a college education.
A typical student would spend about $30,000 on college textbooks, according to a recent article in the online publication College Money.
And the list of institutions that rank among the top five in terms of the average price of tuition includes several top-tier universities: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford.
