How the NBA Draft shakes out the top players, picks and rankings

In the end, the top three NBA draft picks are expected to be in Las Vegas.

The first round of the NBA draft is expected to take place Friday, March 12, 2019.

With the second round on the horizon on Friday, April 18, 2019, and the third round a few weeks later, that’s a combined record of three straight NBA drafts in which the first- and second-round picks were picked by the same franchise.

The two franchises will not be participating in the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, instead focusing on the NBA All Dancers, which is scheduled for February.

That means the Lakers and Suns will be able to get their top picks back in time for the event, which will take place Feb. 27-29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The other teams have no plans to participate.

The Warriors have also been adamant about not participating in an All-Dancers event, instead choosing to focus on their NBA championship.NBA commissioner Adam Silver, who will be in attendance, has not said which teams are taking advantage of the two-day delay.
