We’re finally getting to see Tetsuyas signature style of Tatsumaki Kenshin, and it looks like it’s going to be a pretty big one.
As reported by Kotaku, Naito will be the first foreigner to play the new Tekken 7 character in a tournament at Dreamhack Summer 2014.
Naito has been training under the tutelage of the legendary Tatsumi Tatsuhiro for several years now, and will be taking part in DreamHack’s first Tekken tournament, which is being held in Sweden.
Naito, who is considered the best Tekken player in the world, will be joined by former Tekken players Yosuke Kamiya and Masahiro Sakurai, along with Tekken franchise veterans Ryoma “Battleship” Yamauchi, Ryo “Takamaru” Taniguchi, and Tatsuya Naganuma.
It’s expected that Naito’s appearance at DreamHacks first Tekkend 7 tournament will be live streamed online on the company’s Twitch channel.
Nippon Television will broadcast the tournament on its own channels, so it’s possible that it will take place in the United States.
Tekken 7 is expected to be released on November 11, but the company isn’t giving any details about its release date just yet.
The Tekken series has long been one of the most popular in the fighting game genre, with the series now selling more than 1.2 billion copies worldwide.
