U.S. Army enlisted ranks to rise 3.7% from 2015 to 2020, according to Department of Defense report

Army enlisted rates for the U.K. will rise to a record high of 3.75 percent in 2020, as a combination of factors is expected to bring down the number of officers by 10,000 in the military.

The U.N. estimated the number will be around 3.8 percent by 2020.

The Army’s enlisted ranks will increase from 1.3 percent in 2019 to 1.7 percent in 2021, the Department of the Army announced on Wednesday.

The announcement was made as the military is preparing to retire its combat infantry division in the coming months and the Army’s new Commandant General of the United States General John Kelly is set to take over.
